With ’Tiny Little Widgets’, Martin Eyerer has just finished his second solo album. Two years after the distinctly dancefloor and club-oriented ‘Word of Mouth’, once again musical diversity is the main focus for him. With skill and deliberation he manages to find the balance between DJ tools and listening pieces, while always staying true to himself. These tracks are not just geared towards DJs or clubbers, but generally for people with a musically open mind. ‘Tiny Little Widgets’ represents new territory, both in the experimental and musical sense. To achieve this, Martin has deliberately picked artists from different genres with whom to collaborate. Artists he simply deems worthy. And crucially, where in the past Eyerer rarely incorporated vocals, he now breaks this mould.

For example, he was able to work with the Cuban singer America Rodriguez for the song ‘Un Empujon’. The track ‘Good Time’ got its vocals from Reggea Don. The latter’s dancehall vibe seems to be skilfully translated into an electronic tune. Then there is another collaboration with Phil Barnes who - according to Eyerer - is ‘one of the best singers he knows’. Barnes has already worked with Timo Maas, Paul Oakenfold, Moguai and many more – artists and producers that fully underline his performing quality.

Especially gratifying and successful is the work with internationally well-known singer Kosheen. Over the last 10 years, Martin has created three remixes for her - and now it was her time to contribute back the other way.
By now, the musical breadth of the album should be quite apparent!

Of course, other high-ranking artists are also ready to serve as remixers. Equally, it was clear that the project was not going to be based on acts which are ‘hyped’ currently, but on artists who are appreciated by Martin for their musicality and friendship. Once again, the impressive list of remix-producers speaks for itself: Thomas Schumacher, Florian Meindl, Tom Clark, Tigerskin, Namito, Sasse vs Phonogenic, Gel Abril, Martin Woerner, Alex Niggemann, Mihalis Safras, Helmut Dubnitzky, Patrick Zigon, and Stephan Hinz. These names, like Martin himself, stand for high quality ‘club sounds’ and are going to contribute their interpretations of TLW-tracks. We are thrilled about it, and we think you will be too!

In the run-up to the album’s release it already seems clear – Tiny Little Widgets will polarise opinion. There will be some people who are surprised by the vocal tracks, but others will just be amazed by the versatility of this album. Certainly, there will be enough talking points here to discuss for a long time to come!

Uniquely this time, the album won‘t be released on Martin Eyerer’s own label, Kling Klong, but on Cologne-based imprint, Blu Fin. This too is another sign of Martin’s new approach to his work. Based on the successful and positive collaborations between Blu Fin and Martin Eyerer during the last few months, as well as label head Andrea Engels‘ enthusiasm for the album, there was no doubt that the release should be on Blu Fin. In addition, this will be the first ever album release on Blu Fin, which creates both the potential and the motivation for all involved parties to make the event as special as possible!

A double CD was chosen as the best format: first the album as a whole, secondly a CD containing the remixes. 14 tracks of Eyerer, as well as the remixes, will come out as digital releases. There will also be vinyl record packs with the original and remixed tracks.

October 2010 is scheduled to be the month of the release. Simultaneously, the world wide club tour will start. Already confirmed are dates for China, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Australia and, of course, Europe. Starting from now, fans should anticipate the arrival of Martin Eyerer at their favourite club, where they can welcome him and his new master work. It goes without saying that one or two extra-special goodies will be included, too!

Martin Eyerer & Oliver Klein – Black-Forest Cherry Cake

After nearly two years absence Kling Klong labelboss Martin Eyerer is finally back with his next release together with his close mate Oliver Klein. The hypnotic acid excursion “Black-Forest Cherry Cake” is followed by the spacey techno anthem “Panamerican”, which also includes a great workout from Belgian wunderkind Hermanez. For those who aren’t into the legendary 303 it’s the “Clean Mix” which will do the business.

Out now : Martin Eyerer - Musica Rodante

Session Deluxe is back! After a small break for a few months, label-head and global- player Martin Eyerer is introducing a new dancefloor bomb, which is called “Musica Rodante”. Rolling music in the truest sense of the word. The original version is a very percussive and hypnotic tech-house track. From the beginning of the first second until the end - it is really obvious that this tune is made for the peak time. It increases from minute to minute more to a massive break with a very nice flute tune melody. Close your eyes and feel it yourselves. On with the show: One of the both remixes is made by Martin..s buddy Stephan Hinz. According to some hot releases on Great Stuff, Kling Klong or Kickboxer it s now time for a new remix. Stephan..s interpretation is a little bit more minimal and techno. He uses a very straight beat, disclaims on a big break and takes the whistle melody more discreetly then in the original. It s really rolling tune and definitely perfect for the floor.Last but not least, Mihalis Safras, the man from Athens in Greece. He is running the labels “Material” and “Material ltd” and looks back on releases on Trapez, Great Stuff or Soma Recordings. Recently he finished a remix for Dubfire which is coming soon. The Musica Rodante remix is his first publication on Session Deluxe. Mihalis presents nearly six minutes of minimal techno drumfire. A strong and powerful beat , with lot s of spun and twisted elements. This is a really drifty and wicked track – uplifting hands, a sweating and screaming crowd is guaranteed.

Ripcurl rockt dennoch jeden.

When Martin Eyerer tells a story, everybody listens. Martin reports of his journeys throughout the continents, telling stories of wild escapades in a taxi across the Brazilian jungle through to the impressions of Earth’s capitals and the colourful array of citizens that inhabit them, and obviously of his many Gigs in these foreign lands. Those foreign places quickly become familiar territory when he sets up his digital DJ-system and starts to play that thumping first track because what he plays is groovy Electro-Tech House and the sound is a world language of its own that is euphorically absorbed through sweaty pores and pumping glands.

His passion is eminently clear when he starts to talk about his experiences and such is his passion and enthusiasm for the music that one could easily think it was all totally new to him. But it isn't. Martin Eyerer has been a DJ for 20 years – and just as many years a producer, label owner, radio show producer. Throw in his two young children and it seems that the energy never leaves his side.

Martin Eyerer is not a laptop artist, but a true musician. His high-end studio meets the highest requirements and has become an interdisciplinary interface for mastering (whether it is Hip Hop, Pop or Electronic) and he is also co-producing several mainstream acts (Eyerer e.g.became a gold record in UK). On top of all this, the Tech-House Posse around him like Gui Boratto,Oliver Koletzki, Toni Rios, Stephan Hinz, Namito, Chopstick, Oliver Klein or Florian Meindl come to ‘his house’ to jam. It is a small circle of friends who share the same musical interest and who put 200% in to every release they do.

Whether collaborations, solo Works, Remixes or Compilations, all his works appear almost monthly on dance-floor dominating labels, like Kling KLong,MBF (My Best Friend), Trapez,
Great Stuff, Kickboxer and Criminal and on English big names like Renaissance. The most unbelievable aspect of this is the variety of styles Martin stands for. There is no segment from Deep house to Electro that Eyerer is not in control of, always keeping his focus on the dance-floor. This consistently high-quality of output results in rocking world-wide floor-fillers, spun by the most well-known DJs. Beyond that, hits like Make My Day (Haunting) by Eyerer and Chopstick feat. Zdar/Cassius made their way into the A-rotation of English music television.

As an important platform for his music Martin Eyerer has founded his own labels - Kling Klong and Session Deluxe. Due to the conscientious release policy (releasing artists like Koletzki, Namito, Andrea Doria, Mijk van Dijk, Diringer,Robert Babicz, Tom Pooks, Arnaud Robotini of Black strobe and Eyerer himself the Label boss was able to establish an independent sound between electro, minimal and tech-house on Kling Klong and more tooly, housy and underground on Session Deluxe. Releases of bothe Labels always enter the top 20 of all sales and download charts for electronic music.

Peak time is the best time in a DJ-set, but in Martin Eyerers opinion, you have to work for it as a DJ - there is no way to force it. With that philosophy he builds up his sets, using the newest material and unfolds an oppressive, sizable Groove. Martin Eyerer does not try to get through the night with the current hits. Instead, he travels the whole sound-spectrum in one intuitively construed DJ-set. These legendary sets make their way around the globe resulting in Martin playing regularly in all parts of the world.

But Martin wants to reach more people than only those who frequent nightclubs. That's why he regularly works on mix compilations, e.g. the double CD Movement (MBF, together with Oliver Klein). He has also set up Session De Luxe – a national weekly radio-show that goes out live every Sunday evening on Sunshine live - Germany’s biggest station for dance music, and it’s on this platform that Eyerer presents all the latest releases for his hungry following to devour as they polish of their weekend’s activities on sofas, in bedrooms or in the car on their way home after visiting their parents for Sunday lunch in the country. By himself or with guests like e.g. Bodzin, Anthony Rother, Chardronnet, Huntemann, Gregor Tresher, Abe Duque, Thomas Schumacher, John Selway or Shlomi Aber, Session de Luxe never disappoints. But not only are the monologues important - Martin also involves the listeners, giving everyone the chance to ask questions about anything concerning dance music.
