Great Stuff Records finally celebrates its 100. release six years after Tomcraft started the label together with two partners from scratch and discovered some of the hottest new artists of the decade. Back in the days the first Great Stuff release was from Tomcraft & Eniac (called “Great Stuff”) so Tom had the idea to find his former studio partner Eniac again to also produce GSR100. With their long common history of producing evergreens like “Loneliness” it was a shame that they didn’t work together for 7 years. But now it all changed, they met in Berlin, had their first chat in hotel room 414 and started being in the studio several times since then rediscovering their mutual love for the big anthems. For this first common single they used a sample from Mood II Swing’s house classic “Can’t Get Away” and had the help from great remixers Tube & Berger and Citizen Kain.

Loneliness 2010

The original press release for the „Loneliness“ single back in 2002 stated the following: “Loneliness” has attracted a lot of attention even before it’s release on vinyl. Only 50 whitelabels sent out by Kosmo Records to key dj’s led to preorders of the first 12” of more then 3000 units, which is quite an impressive number in times like these. Here comes a hit… What followed is club music history. “Loneliness” went straight to no. 1 in the UK sales charts and developed to one of the biggest club records ever. For Kosmo Records, Tomcraft and the rest of the dance world.

Now in 2010 Kosmo Records decided to release a new remix package of this alltime club classic. The first bundle contains four mixes, contributed by Lissat & Voltaxx, Adam K & Soha, Mario da Ragnio and Niels van Gogh. Available wordwide exclusively on Beatport.

New York - Rio - Tokyo - Moscow - London - Munich

There is hardly a metropolis on earth that has not heard Tomcraft as a Dj, and that rightfully so. Typical of his tracks is the hypnotic bass and the always perfectly matched tempo with which he gets the masses to dance everywhere. This characteristic, coupled with his openness to other music genres and his unaltered down-to-earth personality certainly makes him one of the most interesting artists in electronic music in our country.

From 1992 until now, Tomcraft has been one of the German Dj’s and producers who landed right on top of the British number one throne with tracks like the super seller "Loneliness" in 2002, and other old and well known hits such as "People Like Them", "Boogie Nights", "When I Was Sixteen", "Prozac" and "Hairy Affairs", just to mention a few of his singles, which in turn influenced the electronic music scene massively. Additional albums such as "All I got“ (2001), "MUC“ (2003), "Hypersexyconscious“ (2006) und "For The Queen" (2007), make him a guy with a faithfull global fanbase.

Tomcraft is a man of visions, always open to new influences which enable him to participate in style transcending collaborations with artists such as the German rapper, Sido, the Bloodhound Gang singer, Jimmy Pop, the New Yorker dream bird, Tommy Sunshine or "Germany’s voice of soul“ Xavier Naidoo. In order to open the doors to greater creative possibilities, Tomcraft founded his label Great Stuff Recordings in 2003 followed by Craft Recordings in 2005, on which national and international Acts such as GusGus, The Egg, Rockers HiFi, Lützenkirchen and Oliver Koletzki are released and whose imprint of high-quality tunes have made the label one of the most sought after globally. Even here, the range is as diverse and excitingly suprising as Tomcraft’s own tracks. It will certainly remain exciting, wherever it happens to take the "Muenchiner" musically in future.

The secret of this versatile man may lie in the fact that his everyday life is as constant as the bass in his tracks. This might be the reason why, for almost two decades now, he has managed to attract party-hungry kids to the dancefloors.
He never lost his constant quest for new sound, collects old instruments in his studio and also has a great deal of highly positive energy in his life with his family which in turn inspires him and be-wings his creative thoughts. One thing certain, Tomcraft is an artist with many talents who knows exactly how to implement them so as to keep us getting spellbound and excited over and over again.
