OLIVER KLEIN - GALLERY - ALBUM TOUR - ACCEPTING BOOKINGS

Gallery

'Gallery' is a 14-track collection of unreleased collaborations that showcases the varied sides of Kleins production output. The name 'Gallery' reflects this public display of creativity. After getting to know Oliver and a glance at the album credits, it's clear that the making of 'Gallery' was a family affair: "I've been working together with different producers since 1993, so the album is of course also a collaborative project."

Beginning with the loose house-jam of the opener "Hey Baby", the infectious and bold intent of the album is established, and then galvanized through the irresistibly fine "What U Got", a track which begins with a cacophonous onset of percussions, and then seems to melt, further and further into deepness. These opening tracks are two of the five collaborations together with the masterful Peter Jürgens (Electribe); the duo also come up trumps with the mischievous techno wiggle of "Slowphatty". Kling Klong label boss Martin Eyerer lends a hand on the super sensual technoid bounce of "Gran Torino", the heady atmospherics on "Century 22", and the stunning ethereal closer "Caleno". Belgian man-of-the-moment Ramon Tapia contributes to the heads-down shuffle of "Straight To The Point" and the tensely slinky big-room minimalism of "My Definition", as well as the retro charm of "Cougar", with its mournful, haunted synth leads. Three tracks with Wollion (Mood Music/Plastic City) and Mario Da Ragnio complete the bundle of eclectic collaborations.

The influence of these highly esteemed co-producers together with Oliver Klein combines in captivating fashion; the result being a collection of tightly produced DJ-friendly tracks – a cohesive intermingling of different styles of techno. "The fans who will buy my album aren't waiting for me to make downbeat or chillout tracks.“ explains Klein. "I'm presenting the sort of tracks I've always represented here. It's a good mixture between the styles of techno music that people have come to expect from me." He adds with a twinkle in his eye, "There are really many good tracks on the album, each one is special in its own way."

Oliver Kleins debut album 'Gallery' is a strictly-limited edition release, with each copy bearing individually handmade artwork. Each sleeve features a portrait of Klein drawn by a student from a grade school art class in Cologne, where he went one day to be their subject. The result is an album where every single copy is truly unique – a rare and desirable quality in this day and age of homogenous product and identity-less downloads. It's a fitting visual concept for an album that exudes character and individuality at every turn!

Oliver Klein & Kolombo - Chica Chic EP

Right after their two common releases on 303 Lovers and SK Supreme Records these two new partners in crime are ready for their biggest release to date on Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold's Kling Klong outlet. With tons of sucessfull cooperations (with the likes of Martin Eyerer, Peter Jürgens, Alex Flatner, Harada, Flow & Zeo....) Oliver Klein seems to be the german king of studio teamwork. But Belgian Olivier Gregoire aka Kolombo was busy too together with Spirit Catcher, Ante Perry, Mugwump.... So no wonder they found themselves in Namur full of great inspiration and experience of long years behind the decks to complete two amazing and very different clubtracks. From dark techhouse on "Chica Chic" to filtered disco vibes on "Just A Groove" they show their full variety of styles and studio skills. Fantastic additional versions come from Loko (Argeninia) and Desolat artist Arado & Marco Faraone (Germany/Italy).

Martin Eyerer & Oliver Klein – Black-Forest Cherry Cake

After nearly two years absence Kling Klong labelboss Martin Eyerer is finally back with his next release together with his close mate Oliver Klein. The hypnotic acid excursion “Black-Forest Cherry Cake” is followed by the spacey techno anthem “Panamerican”, which also includes a great workout from Belgian wunderkind Hermanez. For those who aren’t into the legendary 303 it’s the “Clean Mix” which will do the business.

Tignino & Leo feat. Mark Karre – Into The World – Oliver Klein Remix // Munich Disco Tech 05

The fifth edition of Great Stuff's EP series MUNICH DISCO TECH again features no artists from Munich or even Germany but still the full flavour of that concept. With Juan Sanchezfrom Amsterdam, the canadians Sultan & Ned Shepard(Harem Records/Global Underground), Tignino & Leo from Italy's very south island Sicily (featuring Jim Kerr's son on the mic) with an additional remix from Kling Klong artist Oliver Klein. Plus Denis Horvat from Denmark. A very heterogen mixture of styles and artists from all over the planet, which rocks in different situations.

Welcome on board:
OLIVER KLEIN

Please welcome Oliver Klein!

We are very proud to announce that Oliver Klein joins the Great Stuff booking in beginning this year.

If you´re listening to house, if you´re into techno, if you´re a disco dancer, a club promoter, a whiz kid or just interested in the fabulous world of electronic music, you surely at any point of your personal techno-experience so far had to notice the likes of a DJ that is known for his musical taste and his skills on the decks as well: Mr. Oliver Klein!

The charismatic jock, producer and techno-connoisseur from Dortmund knows how to ban a crowd and let that magic happen, that is folded in the shells of electronic music.

Trying to reach to the bottom of the story of DJ, producer and label owner Oliver Klein, a research via Google & Co won’t bring up satisfying results, as his course has been set even before the beginning of the Internet.

After almost three decades in the business, the basic question is what keeps an artist going on weekend by weekend to travel the world to arrive in front of a pair of decks or to lock himself into the studio to make himself heard with own productions or releases through his own label “Mutekki”? There’s only one reasonable and obvious answer: Passion! Pairing this with irrepressible ambition and a non-deniable talent to tune in to nearly every club situation, you have just found the success formula of the globetrotter from Düsseldorf.

Oliver Klein is one of the very few artists, who constantly manages to redefine himself and to sustain his position in the highly competitive electronic music circus. This ability did not only make him a trademark of the German Rhine-Ruhr scene, but also shaped his name internationally with the help of diverse well-received productions.

In addition, he also knows how to assert himself in the role as a successful party promoter for quite some time now, both as a host of the “HOME14” club project and as the programming director of the 102 club in Neuss (former legendary “Tribehouse“, his long standing resident club)

After countless releases on labels such as Kling Klong, Circle Music, Great Stuff, MBF, Boxer, Noir Music and four: twenty, remixes for the likes of James Holden, Robert Armani or Gregor Tresher, diverse mix compilations and cover stories as well as gigs for the most renowned events and festivals, including regular tours through South America, it’s not good enough by half for Oliver. It’s more about time for him to set the most significant milestone in a musicians career: The release of his first ever artist album.

“Gallery“ is the title of his long-player debut, which is set for release in September 2011 on Eyerer’s Kling Klong label and shows the many faces of Oliver Klein, from deep House to driving Techno, uniting his 14 recordings track by track to a multi-faceted sound gallery. What makes this exhibition of the Klein era so special is the fact that it solely consists of unreleased collaborations with friends and long-lived production partners such as Martin Eyerer, Peter Jürgens, Wollion, Mario da Ragnio and Belgium’s man-of-the-moment Ramon Tapia. “Chica Chic“ and “Just a groove“ already were successful trailblazers of the current Klein sound that finally manifests in his collaborative and colourful album premiere “Gallery“.
