Rounding off our hectic summer release schedule in classic style, Umek's 1605 label is very proud to present Mr. Tobias Lützenkirchen. Lützenkirchen has been not-so-subtly making a name for himself the last years, easily straddling the line between genres and quickly earning himself the widespread praise and support of jock across the board as well as fans. His second contribution to the label is the "Weekend Freakshow" EP, containing 2 brand new productions that are indicative of his finely tuned production work and sensibilities while also fitting in with our high standard and aesthetic. RAINER WEICHHOLD – „Reis“ - Produced with BUTCH, sampling HELGE SCHNEIDER's cult classic
At first sight Helge Schneider & Rainer Weichhold don't share too many similarities. One of them is a 'Ruhr - Pott' German and the other has his base in the free state of bavaria. Schneider's roots are jazz and Weichhold was an early enthusiastic funk and hip hop fan before he discovered his love for electronic music. Howether - both have one thing in common: They are good in what they do!
